'SAFAI, WHO LIVES ON IN OUR EYES AND HEARTS, A MEMORIAL NIGHT FOR SAFAI ÖZER WITH CHILDREN'

On Saturday, March 9, 2024, we joyfully commemorated Safai, the founder and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the EGET Foundation, architect, painter, writer, poet, and thinker, who passed away prematurely in 2022, at the "Safai Who Lives in Our Eyes and Hearts: A Commemoration Night for Safai Özer with Children." The event included a selection of poems from his yet-to-be-published book of poems, "Nature's Logbook I and II," recited by children, and an exhibition of children's artwork inspired by the poems. We extend our sincerest thanks to our guests, children, and parents who came from Muğla and various cities across Turkey to be with us. We also thank our Board of Trustees member, Ms. Aylin Bal, for her efforts in preparing the children for the evening, our volunteer Dilek Bulut for hosting the event, and our Board of Trustees members Ali Turan, Dr. Naki Bulut, and Prof. Dr. for their support. We would also like to thank Özlem Şahin Güngör, Nazım Tural, Mert Ertüre, Serpil Turan, Necla Dal, Dr. Çiğdem Kuş, Hülya Ballı, Gazi Erdoğan, Mehmet Özavcı, and our Advisory Board members Prof. Dr. Aylin Çiğdem Köne, Süleyman Kurnaz, Semih Kürkçüoğlu, Evrim Çağlayan, Müge Bakioğlu, and Gül Özavcı.
