LIVING SAFAI SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS ARE NOW OPEN

LIVING SAFAI UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP

The Living Safai Scholarship is established in memory of Safai, one of the founders of the EGET Foundation, whom we lost in 2022.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR THE SCHOLARSHIP?

Students who will be studying or have begun studying in an undergraduate program within the Fine Arts or Agriculture Faculties, or in the Gerontology departments of the Health Sciences Faculties, at state universities providing education within the borders of the Republic of Turkey, can apply for the Living Safai Scholarship.

For candidates who have already begun their studies in the relevant undergraduate programs and are in their intermediate years, having a minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4 is required.

For candidates newly admitted to the relevant undergraduate programs; having scored 300 points on the YKS (University Entrance Examination); for candidates who were admitted to their departments by participating in a special talent exam, having a placement score of 300 is required.

SCHOLARSHIP AMOUNT AND DURATION

Scholarship payments are made monthly for 9 months (October-June). The monthly scholarship amount for the 2022-2023 academic year is 1,000 TL. Scholarships are non-refundable. The scholarship duration is one academic year.

WHY DO WE EXPECT OUR SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS TO PARTICIPATE IN VOLUNTEER ACTIVITIES?

Students who qualify for the Living Safai Scholarship are obligated to carry out a social responsibility project within the EGET Foundation for 10 days during the academic year in which they receive the scholarship. This is because we want our students to gain experience in working selflessly for humanitarian purposes before entering life as individuals who benefit society, and to continue this experience throughout their lives. We believe that young people who work on a voluntary basis for a good, beautiful, and righteous cause will strengthen their desire and motivation to produce social benefit as a result of these experiences.
