WHY DO WE PROVIDE SCHOLARSHIPS TO HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS?

Starting with the 2022-2023 academic year, the EGET Foundation has begun providing scholarships to high school students experiencing financial difficulties while studying. While secondary education is compulsory, it is the level with the lowest enrollment rate. The EGET Foundation aims to support high school students through this scholarship so that they can continue their education without interruption and prepare for higher education.

WHO ARE WE ELIGIBLE FOR SCHOLARSHIPS?

EGET Foundation High School Scholarships currently only cover high school students enrolled in formal education in the Muğla province.

Students who do not receive a scholarship from any institution (excluding Conditional Education Assistance), have a GPA of at least 70, and are studying at state high schools providing formal education in Muğla are eligible for EGET Foundation Scholarships.

SCHOLARSHIP AMOUNT AND DURATION

Scholarship payments are made monthly for 9 months. The scholarship amount for the 2022-2023 academic year is 250 TL. EGET Foundation High School Scholarships are non-refundable.

WHY DO WE EXPECT OUR SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS TO PARTICIPATE IN VOLUNTEER ACTIVITIES?

Students benefiting from EGET Foundation scholarships are required to volunteer at a non-governmental organization or participate in a social responsibility project for three days each year. This is because we want our students to gain experience in working selflessly for humanitarian purposes before entering life as individuals who benefit society, and to continue this experience throughout their lives. We believe that young people who work on a voluntary basis for a good, beautiful, and righteous cause will strengthen their desire and motivation to produce social benefit as a result of these experiences.
